Shortman build on synchro Worlds’ final success

Britain’s Kate Shortman earned a top 10 finish in the first leg of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2018.

Building on her World Championship final last year, the 16-year-old secured ninth in the solo technical event with an overall score of 80.0406. She then went on to finish 12th in the solo free with a score of 83.4000
In a busy weekend’s schedule for the British synchronised swimming team, they also managed a sixth-place finish with a score of 77.3667 in the team free competition.
The first leg of the World Series took place in Paris and will continue in China from the 21 to 23 April.
