Synchro Team ready for action in France

10 Mar 2017

The Synchronised Swimming Team are set to kick off competition action for the first leg of the inaugural Synchronised Swimming World Series in France.

The team will compete in Technical and Free Team competitions while City of Bristol pair Isabelle Thorpe and Kate Shortman will go in the Free Duet. Shortman will also compete in the Free Solo competition in Paris.

The event will be the first competitive action of the season for most of the team, with the exception of Hannah Randall and Emma Critchley, who competed in the Duet at last weekend’s German Open in Bonn.

The British team won bronze in the Team Free at last year’s event in Paris. They will be hoping to improve on their scores of 74.6490 (Tech Team) and 76.6667 (Free Team) from 12 months ago.

The Open Make Up Forever Championships in Paris is the first of eight legs of world governing body FINA’s new international competition.

The competition will be streamed live on the FINA Youtube page across the three-day competition.
