Aquatics GB Diving International debuts on 2026 event calendar

14 Nov 2025

The inaugural Aquatics GB Diving International will take place at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield from 30th January-1st February 2026.

Boasting a three-day competition programme, the Aquatics GB Diving International will see Britain's leading divers take on a host of top talent from around the globe in this new entry to the events calendar.

As the first World Aquatics recognised event in Ponds Forge since it hosted a leg in 2011 of the FINA Diving World Series, which is now the World Aquatics Diving World Cup, the meet offers a high-quality competition opportunity ahead of the primary stop of the World Cup series in Montreal for international teams looking to launch into the 2026 season.

Aquatics GB programme lead for diving Matt Ashman commented:

“This exciting new event brings international diving back to home soil, offering our divers an incredible opportunity to compete and perform under the unique pressure of going head-to-head with their international peers at the start of 2026.

“Performances in Sheffield will play a key role in our selections for the World Aquatics World Cup series, as we use these opportunities to develop a team who can build on the diving successes of 2024 and 2025 and ultimately work towards success at LA 2028.”
