Blagg and Reid ease into title decider

The Women's 3m Springboard prelims kicked off the competition on the penultimate day of the European Diving Championships and Great Britain's Alicia Blagg and Grace Reid eased into the 2018 continental final.

Reid, who started her diving career at Edinburgh's Royal Commonwealth pool, delivered a composed and controlled list of dives to rank second with a score of 315.70, just 2.95 points off Russia Mariia Poliakova who topped the pile in the 21-strong field of athletes

"That was ok this morning, I'm happy with my dives and I can go away rest and hopefully come back stronger this afternoon," said Reid.

The Dive London Aquatics athlete's highest score dive was her Forward 2 1/2 Somersaults 1 Twist Piked which came in the final round and earnt 70.50.

Blagg made a statement of intent during the prelims session after she topped the leaderboard in four of the five rounds of diving and finished with a score of 294.45.
