British Diving Championships 2018: Preview

26 Jan 2018

With Commonwealth Games places up for grabs the British Diving Championships 2018 are sure to be hotly contested.

Here we predict some of the weekend’s key battlegrounds.

With injuries ruling Tom Daley, Jack Laugher and Grace Reid out of the competition there will be title places up for grabs across the disciplines:

Men’s 3m

Five of the country’s top divers will be fighting it out in the 3m competition with all standing a strong chance of a top-three finish. Ross Haslam will be looking to build on an excellent 2017, and will be competing against his brother, and synchro partner Jack Haslam. Dan Goodfellow will be tackling the most difficult programme of dives with synchro teammates James Heatly and Freddie Woodward finishing the hotly contested line up. In addition to Commonwealth places, there will also be FINA Grand Prix places in Germany up for grabs.
