The 2018 European Championship Women's 3m Springboard ended in style with Grace Reid and Alicia Blagg making it a British one-two on the podium.

Reid clinched the gold medal and continental title in the dying moments of the five-round final as she finished with a score of 329.40.

"This is really up there with my biggest achievements in my career so far like my world medal with Tom [Daley] last year and being able to compete at the Olympics, it means so much and to do it here in my home city, at the pool where I started diving just wow," said Reid.

London-based Grace served up a huge last dive, Forward 2½ Somersault 1 Twist Piked (5152B) and scored 73.50 and cemented her place at the centre of the podium.

Just 1.70 points behind was teammate Alicia Blagg, who currently trains over at the University of Miami in Florida, her final score of 327.70 secured her the silver medal.

"After everything that I've been through this season and also my operations since Rio, today has proved what I'm really capable off" said Blagg.

The British pair were joined on the European Championship podium by Tina Punzel of Germany who claimed the bronze medal with a score of 324.65.
