Couch and Toulson take bronze

Divers Tonia Couch and Lois Toulson have won bronze in the Women’s 10m Synchro at the FINA/NVC Diving World Series over in Windsor, Canada.

Couch and Toulson were joined on the World Series podium by the Malaysian pair of Nur Dhabitah Binti Sabri and Pandelela Pamg, and Chinese divers Qian Ren and Yajie SI who claimed silver and gold respectively.

Their highest scoring dive came in the fifth and final round, a Back 2½ Somersault 1½ Twists piked, recording 72.96 points.

A close competition throughout the rounds saw the British pair nudged into the bronze medal spot with final point’s total of 298.62, just 0.18 off securing silver.

The men’s 10m Synchro and men and women’s 3m Synchro will continue through the day.
