Gallantree and Blagg secure Olympic berth in Rio

Rebecca Gallantree and Alicia Blagg qualified a vital Olympic quota place with their sixth place finish in the 3m Synchro over in Rio at the Olympic Test Event

Gallantree and Blagg were in a strong position after the required dives with a score of 101.40 and moved into the optional rounds with confidence. 

The Brits performed consistently through the rounds and scored an impress 75.60 points for their Back 2 1/2 Somersaults piked in the penultimate round. 

They dropped some marks in the final round to finish with a total of 299.28 to take sixth place and that crucial Olympic quota place for this summer's Games. 

Georgia Ward secured Great Britain's second Olympic quota place in the 10m Platform after reaching the semi final. 

Ward put in a strong performance throughout the prelim which comprised of 38 divers and was ranked between sixth and eighth place throughout the five rounds. 

Ward started steadily but improved to score 69.00 for her Front 3 1/2 Somersaults piked.

The European silver medallist finished in sixth place overall with a score of 325.60 to secure her first world semi final and the vital Olympic quota place for GB. 

Lois Toulson, who was competing in her first senior world level event, finished in 22nd place with a score of 279.20.

Tom Daley and Dan Goodfellow qualified for the final of the men's 10m Synchro after competing together for the first time at an international competition. 

The pair lay in ninth place after the required rounds but pulled their way back up the scoreboard with a high scoring Inward 3 1/2 Somersaults tucked for 85.44. 

They scored 86.58 for their Front 4 1/2 Somersaults tucked to sit in second place ahead of the last round. They dropped some marks for their Back 3 1/2 Somersaults piked but qualified for the final in fifth place with a score of 411.00.
