Sir Peter Heatly has been inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame to recognise his career in diving.
The induction, which is being made posthumously, was received by his sons and his daughters in Santa Clara.
Sir Peter's family all attended the ceremony which celebrated his life and career as a diver. In his competitive career he won three gold medals for Scotland at the British Empire (and Commonwealth) Games. He also worked as the Chairman for the Commonwealth Games Federation.
His Grandson, James, competed at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games where he was cheered on by all his family including Sir Peter.
