Humphreys and Cutmore continue form

Dive London partnership of Tyler Humphreys and Ben Cutmore top the podium on the opening day of the British Elite Junior Diving Championships in Plymouth.

Following on from their 3m Synchro gold at the Eight Nations in Norway last month the pairing led the way and claimed top spot in the 14-18yrs Boys 3m Synchro with a point’s total 290.07.

Silver went to City of Leeds pair Oliver Crompton and Anthony Harding with 287.49 points and Danny Mabbott and Angus Menmuir of Edinburgh Diving Club claimed the bronze with 231.36 points.

The 14-18yrs Girls 3m Synchro event was won by Scarlett Mew Jensen of Dive London and Yasmin Harper (Sheffield Diving), they carved out a lead of more than 15 points after five rounds of dives to take gold and a total of 267.33.

Silver went to the pairing of Victoria Vincent (Plymouth Diving) and Maria Papworth (Dive London) with 252.30. Southampton’s Tanya Watson and Lauren Hallaselka (guest) took bronze with 232.47.

British Champions Andrea Spendolini Sirieix and Josie Zillig of Crystal Palace returned to the Plymouth pool to claim junior gold in the Women’s Platform Synchro, they recorded a final score of 245.28.

Crystal Palace teammates Florence Summer and Evie Smith finished in silver medal spot with 229.44 and bronze went to Evelyna Johnson and Georgia Adams of Southampton Diving Academy; 206.73 points.

The Boys Platform Synchro final saw gold go to Southampton’s Robbie Lee and Milo French, they totalled 262.92 points.

Less than two points separated silver from the top spot, as Sheffield Diving’s Joseph Pashley and Hoe Stocking finished with a score of 261.54. Alfie Westerman and Euan McCabe (Plymouth Diving) claimed the final medal, 230.73 for the bronze.

In the 9-13yrs Boys 3m Synchro final, gold went to Jack Jefford and Leon Baker of Crystal Palace and Southampton respectively with a point’s total of 237.69.

Robbie Lee and Milo French (Southampton) backed up their Platform gold, to take the silver with 235.59 points and guests Benjamin Tessier and Olivier Gauthier of Canada finished third with a final score of 229.98.

The final podium of the opening day’s competition belonged to Crystal Palace pairing of Florence Summers and Evie Smith, they secured their second medal of the meet, gold in the 9-13yrs 3m Synchro with a total of 213.42 points.

Silver went to Ruby Thorne and Hannah Newbrook (Dive London) with 209.82 points and bronze to Summer Radcliffe (Plymouth Diving) and Tilly Brown (Southampton) with 203.16 points.
