Hunt finishes World Cup on a high

GBR's very own Gary Hunt closed the 2018 High Diving season with gold at the FINA World Cup in Abu Dhabi.

Hunt earned gold in 431.55 and obtained his third consecutive title in the competition, after previous successes in 2016 and 2017.

He was second after the first day of competition, but after a flawless performance, he earnt his place on top of the leader board. Which he held throughout, scoring nothing less than a 9.0 from the judges.

Two newcomers in the high diving circuit also earned themselves medals, Romania’s Constantin Popovici (silver in 424.65) and Ukraine’s Oleksiy Prygorov (bronze in 392.30).

Blake Aldridge finished 8th and Owen Weymouth ranked 15th in the men’s competition. Jess Macaulay finished fourth after two days of diving at the Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht club.
