Junior Diving team heading to Dresden

A 12-strong team of junior British divers will be heading to the Dresden Youth International meet next month.

The team includes two divers in their first GB international event, including Joseph Pashley in the B Boys 1m platform and 13-year-old Evie Smith in the B Girls 1m and 3m competitions.

The newcomers will be supported by a team, with various accolades in the pool, including:

Emily Martin: A Girls platform -   Emily, 17, was silver medallist in Dresden in 2016 and competed in the GB senior team in last year’s Malaysian and Singapore Grand Prix's, winning a bronze medal in the 10m synchro with Eden Cheng.

Holly Waxman:  A Girls 1m, 3m, 3m synchro - Holly was the winner of last year’s 7 Nations and a silver medallist on 3m springboard in 2017 in Dresden.

Oliver Crompton: A Boys 1m, 3m - This is Oliver’s first international in two years qualifying for the 8 Nations and Dresden Teams

Ross Beattie: A Boys platform – Ross spent a number of years in Dubai, but returned to Edinburgh where he impressed selectors with strong performances at the British Diving Championships and Scottish Nationals.

Cameron Gammage: A Boys 1m, 3m - Cameron won a bronze medal last year in Dresden in the group B 3m springboard. This is his first competition in the group A category.

Ben Cutmore: B Boys 3m, 3m synchro, platform – Ben, 14, won the 2017 7 Nations in France 3m springboard and competed out of age in Dresden in 2016 finishing 4th in 3m springboard.

Tyler Humphries: B Boys 1m, 3m, 3m synchro – Tyler won the 2016 7 Nations in Edinburgh, and competed in his first European Juniors in Bergen last year, narrowly missing the final.

Andrea Spendolini Sirieix B Girls platform - Andrea qualified for Dresden as the highest finishing Junior diver at the British Diving Championships.

Callie Eaglestone: B Girls 1m, 3m, platform - Callie competed at the 7 Nations 2017 finishing 3rd on the 3m springboard.

Emily Bearpark:  A Girls  1m, 3m, 3m synchro - Emily competed at the 2016 7 Nations in Edinburgh finishing 4th on 3m and 2nd on 1m springboard. She then competed at the European Juniors finishing 7th on 3m.

The competition will be held at the Diving Pool Dresden from April 26 to 29.
