Laugher and Woodward join Diving Champs commentary team

24 Jan 2018

Olympic Champion Jack Laugher and Commonwealth bronze medallist Freddie Woodward will be joining the commentary team on the British Diving Championships live stream.

The two will bring an exclusive insight into their teammates and the pressures of competing in a competition that will be the final chance to impress selectors for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Jack, who is currently recovering from ankle surgery, will be commentating on the 3m men’s final on Saturday, whilst Freddie will be taking to the mic on Sunday for the men’s platform competition.

Jack said: “It’s great to be involved in the British Diving Championships – even though I’m not able to compete this time.

“It will be strange seeing Chris diving without me, but I’ll definitely be able to give a view into his mindset. And tell people where he can improve, of course!”

Freddie added: “I’m really looking forward to giving the viewers a diver’s perspective on the Championships.

“I’ll be offering my views in technique, preparations and trying not to be biased towards my Sheffield teammates!”

This will be the first time the British Diving Championships have been live streamed and will give fans not at the Life Centre in Plymouth the chance to see every dive and get some exclusive behind the scenes insights.
