Laugher excels to win gold

Olympic Champion Jack Laugher impressed in the 3m Springboard in Canada to take gold at the FINA/NVC Diving World Series. 

There was clearly only one coloured medal Laugher wanted as he went straight into the lead in the final against China's Xie Siyi and Cao Yuan. 

Laugher's opening dive scored over 90 points and in the fourth round he secured 99. 45 points for his Front 2 1/2 Somersaults Triple Twist piked. 

The Olympic silver medallist really shone in the penultimate round when he scored 108. 30 for his Front 4 1/2 Somersaults tucked. 

He finished with a score of 567.15 which was almost 40 points more that Siyi who score 528.50. Yuan scored 500.50.
