In the finale to the nine-day diving programme at the World Aquatics Championships, Robbie Lee placed 12th overall in the Men’s 10m Platform.
For Robbie Lee and Euan McCabe competing in the Men’s 10m Platform competition in Singapore it was their first-ever individual event at a global championships – with Lee having debuted on the world championships stage earlier in the meet, placing fourth alongside Kyle Kothari in the Men’s Platform Synchro.
Both British divers navigated the challenges of a deep preliminaries round, in which 30 of the 48 starting athletes were eliminated, however McCabe would exit at the semi-final stage – his highlight coming with the third dive of his semi-final list, an Inward 3 1/2 Somersaults Pike (407B) worth 78.75 points, as he finished 18th overall.
Lee meanwhile had secured the last available spot for Men’s 10m Platform final and later would open the diving boards for the medal contest with a steady Inward 3 1/2 Somersaults Tuck (407C).
A dropped third round dive impacted the 20-year-olds ability to affect the leaderboard standings, but he bounced back incredibly well to complete his list with a sequence of three 80-plus point scoring dives – including a superb Forward 4 1/2 Somersaults Tuck (109C) for 86.95 points – to round out his world final in 12th position.
“I’m absolutely shattered to be honest. The body is aching but I’m happy I got all the way through and did a decent last three dives which I’m happy about,” said Lee.
“I just wanted to enjoy myself and see what I could do, obviously that wasn’t my best but certainly not my worst. I’ve got work to do and definitely think I could be further up there [in the standings], but it gives me plenty to think about in terms of what I can do in training for next season if I keep my head down and hopefully stay injury-free.”

The Women’s 3m Springboard competition came to a finish on Saturday, with Grace Reid just missing out on a spot in the final by less than two points – while the preceding morning during the preliminaries Amy Rollinson had placed 33rd in her maiden individual event at a world championships.
Reid had a slow start to her semi-final list but looked to begin building into contention in the third round with a beautiful Reverse 2 1/2 Somersaults Pike (305B) scoring 63.00 points. Another 60-plus dive in the closing round almost moved Reid high enough up the leaderboard to progress, but her closing tally of 277.65 point was just shy of the cut-off as she placed placed 14th overall in the standings.
Concluding the nine-day diving programme at the Singapore 2025 World Aquatics Championships the British diving team have two pieces of silverware on the medal table – Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen’s silver in the Women’s 3m Synchro, plus Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding’s bronze in the Men’s 3m Synchro.
