Success for junior divers in Dresden

The junior divers competing at the International Youth Diving Meet have secured nine medals over the four-day competition.

Ruby Bower (City of Leeds) impressed in the Platform to secure gold with a score of 387.40 points. Bower came back from a nervous prelim to how her potential in the final. Emily Martin (Southampton Diving) secured the silver just behind Bower with a score of 379.25. It's the fourth year in a row that the GB team have won this event. 

World junior bronze medallist Matthew Dixon (Plymouth Diving) won gold in the Platform event to show his skill. He scored a total of 600.70 points overall. 

In the 3m Springboard Holly Waxman (Bradford Espirit) just missed out on gold after securing high scores for her Reverse 2 1/2 Somersaults tucked, Back 2 1/2 Somersaults tucked and her Inward 2 1/2 Somersaults tucked. She scored a total of 363.10. 

There were bronze medals for Anthony Harding  (City of Leeds) and Cameron Gammage (Southampton Diving) in the 1m and 3m Springboard events. Harding scored a total of 480.00 in the 1m final with Gammage scoring 409.75 in the 3m final. 

The British team also secured bronze medals in the male and female 3m Synchro events. Scarlett Mew Jensen and Maria Papworth (Dive London) scored 243.48 to seal their bronze medal while Harding and Will Hallam (City of Leeds) scored 279.33 for their medal in the boys' event.  

Papworth also secured bronze in the 3m Springboard with a score of 431.85.
