Toulson takes gold in Kiev

Leeds-based Lois Toulson claimed gold and the continental title in the Women’s Platform final on the second day of the European Diving Championships in Kiev.

Toulson topped the podium in the Ukrainian capital with a final points total of 330.75 after she dominated the competition throughout the rounds.

Her highest scoring dive came in the fifth and final round, a Back 2 ½ Somersaults 1 ½ Twists piked, scored 72.00.

This is Toulson’s first European title after finishing fifth in the Women’s 10m Synchro in London in 2016.

The silver medal went to Anna Chuinyshena (Russia) with 326.90 points while Iuliia Timoshinina (Russia) won bronze with a score of 313.30.
