An impressive 400 Freestyle silver medal on day two of the competition was won in a new personal best, slicing some two seconds off her previous best time.   She won silver once again in the 800 Freestyle where entering the final ranked third she showed tactical astuteness and character in winning a back and forth tussle with Hungary’s reigning European champion Boglarka Kapas to claim second place.

The winner of the Swimming Athlete of the Year award is decided by our panel of judges and will announced during the British Swimming Awards in London on 5 November.
