Four new teams start ISL journey

18 Oct 2019

London Roar, Iron, LA Current and New York Breakers open their campaign with back to back weekend matches in Dallas and Budapest.

With a 50:50 split of American and European teams, the second four of eight teams are in action in a bid to reach the Las Vegas finale on 20-21 December.

Commonwealth gold medallists Alys Thomas and Sarah Vasey are the two of the Brits featuring in Texas, lining up for the New York Breakers and London Roar respectively. With Thomas best known for her butterfly pedigree and Vasey a breaststroke specialist, both will be likely to swim their individual discipline as well as contribute to medley relays which count for double points in the ISL format.

4 x 200m Freestyle Relay European Champion Holly Hibbott will also don the colours of London Roar in Dallas adding options for the team over the 200m and 400m Freestyle distances on the event schedule.
