Scott seals Copenhagen bronze

Great Britain’s Duncan Scott sealed Men’s 200m freestyle bronze on the second day of the LEN European Short Course Championships in Copenhagen.

Scott successfully booked his place into the Thursday evening continental final after serving up the second fasted swim in the heats.

In a tight race for the wall, Scott posted a time of 1:43.07 to claim the third-place finish in the Danish capital's Royal Arena and his first senior international medal.

The gold medal went to Danas Rapsys of Lithuania and silver was claimed by Russia’s Aleksandr Krasnykh.

Fresh from his day one bronze, Adam Peaty was back in action alongside teammate Ross Murdoch in the Men’s 200m breaststroke. Murdoch was ranked ninth after the heats and Peaty updated his personal best, lowering it 2:07.34 to rank 13th overall.

Also in action for GBR on the second day of racing in Denmark was Charlotte Atkinson and Emily Large, they both went in the Women’s 50m butterfly, finishing 20th and 37th respectively.
