Swimmers set for FINA World Cup

31 Oct 2018

Next month will see seven British swimmers travel to the Far East to race at the Tokyo and Singapore legs of the FINA Swimming World Cup.

The World Cup events provide a great elite level racing opportunity at this early stage of the season, allowing them to test process and strategies within the competition arena.

It also provides a hugely beneficial familiarisation exercise for British Swimming to experience Japan, its culture and facilities with less than two years to go until the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Swimmers competing in Tokyo leg (9-11th November):

  • Elliot Clogg
  • Georgia Coates
  • James Guy
  • Craig McLean
  • Siobhan-Marie O’Connor
  • Alys Thomas
  • Brodie Williams

Swimmers competing in Singapore leg (15-17th November):

  • Siobhan-Marie O’Connor
