Georgia Davies secured FINA World Short Course bronze in the 100m backstroke on the second day of competition in Hangzhou, China.
The European Champion tied for the third place podium position with Minna Atherton of Australia in a time of 56.74 in what was expected to be a hotly contested and close race.
The gold medal and new 2019 World short course champion is Olivia Smoliga of the USA, with the silver medal claimed by Hungary's Katinka Hosszu.
