Young squad shows promise in Texas

A group of 12 British swimmers competed in the opening leg of the 2017 USA Swimming Pro Swim Series in Austin, Texas and delivered some promising results against a strong international field.

A four-final competition format allowed the young British swimmers to earn 35 second swims with 14 of those in the A finals.

Deventio Excel's Imogen Clark lead the way with a third place finish and bronze in the 100m Breaststroke. For the boys, University of Stirling’s Martyn Walton was the highest ranked finisher, he claimed fourth in one of the final British swims of the weekend in the Men’s 200m Individual Medley.
