British Para-Swimming launch Coaching Development Programme

13 Apr 2023

An exciting new coach development programme is being set up to help British Para-Swimming bring in new coaches on the journey towards the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and beyond.

The bespoke programme will provide a journey of blended learning for coaching staff to develop technical, tactical and non-technical skills - such as personal development - with the support of UK Sport.

With opportunities to be part of national para-swimming camps, through competition activities and at the British Swimming Manchester Performance Centre alongside world-class athletes, those involved will get a wealth of benefits to progress their coaching profile in a sport that delivered 26 medals - including eight golds - at Tokyo 2020, with a home Para Swimming World Championships in Manchester on the horizon this summer.

We are looking for coaches who are open-minded and with an active passion to enhance para-swimming in Britain, an appetite for learning and a commitment to the journey. Core team behaviours such as the ability to work in a collaborative environment, supporting others and being able to demonstrate a willingness to engage and share learnings with coaching peers and mentors are all key to these roles.

Interested coaches are asked to express their interest by submitting a three-minute video, introducing yourself and outlining your current experience, as well as outlining your interest and motivation for the programme updated Application deadline 5pm 24th April 2023. Please attach your videos and email: Coach_a.viizhn2dp3jts48q@u.box.com or alternatively WhatsApp the video to 07979915218
