Fans can now secure their seats to four days of action at Ponds Forge International in March 2023 for the Citi Para Swimming World Series inc. British Para-Swimming Meet.
The turnstiles are opening to the public for the first time since 2019 to a UK leg of the World Series - and just as it was four years ago, the event acts as a crucial selection meet for a home-soil World Championships later in the year.
Britain’s best para-swimmers will gather in Sheffield for racing action across Thursday 16th through to Sunday 19th March, with the promise of exciting contests against international rivals too in what is set to be the third stop on the Citi Para Swimming World Series in 2023.
Those who tuned in to the live stream of the behind closed doors event from Aberdeen in 2022 witnessed Paralympic champions Maisie Summers-Newton and Bethany Firth top the World Series podium, while Stephen Clegg, Ellie Challis and Toni Shaw all claimed mixed-class racing victories of their own ahead of maiden individual World titles later that year.
Spectators can however now be excited by the opportunity to get back poolside for such high quality racing in 2023, with British, European and World leading times known to have been surpassed in multiple previous encounters on UK shores since the series inception in 2017.
With the British Para-Swimming Meet incorporated into the event in Sheffield, ticket holders will also get a view of the rising stars of the future and witness new names break into medal contention. Para-Swimming Emerging Athlete of 2021-22, Poppy Maskill, was joined by Scarlett and Eliza Humphrey, Sam Downie, Oliver Carter and Cameron Vearncombe in earning a debut British senior team selection from the meet 12 months ago, before going on to achieve a medal of each colour at her maiden World Championships.

British Para Swimming Meet at Ponds Forge International, Sheffield, start from just £6.50 for adults and £4 for concessions, with a full event pass (adult) costing just £52 for all four days.
