There are two programmes that make up the World Class Pathway:
- World Class Podium Programme - this programme supports athletes with realistic gold medal winning capabilities at the next Paralympic Games.
- World Class Podium Potential Programme - this programme supports athletes who's performances have suggested they have a realistic chance to qualify for 2020 but who are aiming for medal success in 2024 and beyond.
To be considered for a place on the World Class Programme athletes must meet the criteria as set out in the selection policies outlined below.

The PSAS is the initial entry level for consideration to the World Class programmes. The PSAS will help to provide a smooth athlete transition from Home Nation programmes and will be a confirmation phase for the athlete prior to being considered for a World Class programme.
