The organisation’s head office is based at SportPark, Loughborough.

SportPark is accessible for all, as follows:

Car Park:

  • Eight disabled parking bays in the main car park with the ability to create more spaces if required.

Building:

  • No steps at the main entrance
  • Tactile markings directly outside the main entrance.
  • Two lifts enabling access to all floors.
  • Braille and sound in lifts.
  • Facilities on each floor (mixed sex toilets, including disabled toilets, shower room, except floor 4 and kitchens fitted with zip taps, fridges and dishwashers).
  • Facilities in the outside block (mixed sex toilets, showers, changing room and lockers).
  • Well lit – lights and windows.
  • Different flooring on the landing and on the floors.
  • Larger/wider doors.
  • Darker door frames.
  • Stair well/landings fitted with call points/alarm.
  • Portable vibrating alarms available from SportPark reception.
  • Flashing beacons fitted within toilets/shower room.
  • SportPark and ASA/British Swimming/IoS reception desks fitted at an appropriate height.
  • Hearing loop.
  • Meeting rooms are fitted with large plasma screens.
  • Ipad is available for training purposes.
  • Fully trained fire marshals and first aiders.
  • Available room for mothers expressing milk.

The organisation uses the Two Ticks symbol as we welcome applications from disabled people.  We have made five commitments:

  • To interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for a job vacancy and to consider them on their abilities.
  • To discuss with disabled employees, at any time, but at least once a year, what you can both do to make sure they can develop and use their abilities.
  • To make every effort when employees become disabled to make sure they stay in employment.
  • To take action to ensure that all employees develop the appropriate level of disability awareness needed to make these commitments work.
