Friday wind down 1 - wide

1. Give yourself something to look forward to.

A treat in a healthy form is always a great idea. Exercise regime, gym session, simple walk through the park or down by the beach. Exercise gets the healthy hormones flowing and makes you feel good. Activate the energising endorphins and get ready to feel positive.

2. Unplug - Offline if peace of mind

Give the electronic devices a rest too! Statistically speaking we are living in a modern day world that involves a lot of screen time and electronic device usage. Whether it's the iPad, iPhone, laptop or android unplugging ourselves from a constant stream of emails and notifications can help unwind, detach and be completely present in the moment wherever you are.

If you absolutely must look at the phone try creating time slots throughout the day to check in and spend no more than 10 minutes. This will help you to interact with the real world around you and the people or place you are in. Giving yourself space and time to reflect, breathe and unplug is a great way to relax and unwind.

3. Do the things you love and love the things you do

Reward yourself for a hard work week by visiting the places, being with the people and doing the things you love. What we focus on we feel. Re-energise by topping up the energy tank and surrounding yourself with the things in life that you love. This will boost your emotional energy and enhance a feeling of a positive mental attitude.
