Fuel My Friday: Ollie Carter's Recovery Smoothie

Ahead of this month's Para-Swimming Winter National Meet, Ollie Carter showed us his nutritious smoothie recipe that helps fuel his post-session recovery for #FuelMyFriday

Ollie Carter has enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2022. His performances in Aberdeen last February earnt him a place amongst the British Para-Swimming squad for the World Championships in Madeira. 

Now, as 2022 begins to come to a close, the freestyle-specialist will be competing at Tollcross International Swimming Centre later this month, aiming to gain further valuable competition experience ahead of the 2023 season. 

Especially during Winter Training, Ollie understands the importance of recovery, and his highly-nutritious post-workout smoothie certainly aids that recovery process...


Ingredients: 

  • 150g Vanilla yogurt
  • 1 chopped banana
  • 2 cups frozen berries
  • 150ml Almond milk

Method: 

  1. Prepare ingredients and chop banana into smaller chunks
  2. Place all ingredients into a blender
  3. Blend until smooth
  4. Add more milk to achieve desired consistency
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
