Britain’s marathon swimmers faced one of the largest ever fields at the second leg of the LEN European Open Water Cup in Gravelines.

Hector Pardoe and Polly Holden have taken away valuable lessons from the first open water race of Glasgow 2018.

LEN, the governing body for aquatics in Europe, have now confirmed that the 2022 European Junior Open Water Championships will take place from 3rd-5th June in Setubal, Portugal.

Seven swimmers took part in the event in Rome, which formed the conclusion of the 2022 European Aquatics Championships.

The 2019 British Swimming Open Water Elite Series will consist of three races with overall series cash prizes for the top three male and female athletes.
